This summer the National Park Service is offering FREE entrance on one weekend per month. The one for July is coming up this weekend on the 18th and 19th. If you can’t make this one, there is one more free weekend in mid-August. I’ve always thought, considering the perpetual lack of funds that the popular parks should charge more than the $10 or $20 per carload (often good for seven days) when a single day amusement pass goes for many times that.
But of course national parks are no bargain for dog owners at any price - even no price - since most don’t allow dogs on the trail. But for those looking to take advantage of this great deal, here are the five best national parks for dogs... check out the best five.
